Last election, a reporter called me because I was hosting a debate-viewing party for Democrats Abroad. She asked if I knew how to get in touch with my Republican counterparts in Montreal. Apparently, she had interviewed enough liberals, but hadn’t been able to find any right-wing Americans living here. Me neither. Maybe try Alberta?

    How can anybody remain a Republican after spending a few months here? Too bad I’m stuck in Quebec city tonight, I would have loved to spend the evening with like-minded political junkies.

    During the last federal election, CBC Radio had found a few Republicans on McGill campus. So they did exist at one time.. They have probably since gone into hiding.
