Bill Clinton in Montreal today at the Climate Change Conference

The Globe and Mail says that former US President Bill Clinton will likely speak at the Montreal Climate Change conference. Even though there was some US criticism of what our Prime Minister, Paul Martin, said yesterday, the international pressure on the US to join the movement is mounting. You’d think there was ample evidence within the US Homeland to realize that we are seeing massive climate change now and concerted action is essential.

I am in the US at the moment for a brief visit here and there, and unfortunately, I can tell you that few here are aware of the conference in Montreal. The only mention of it I have seen was Clinton’s recent comment that Bush was wrong. If enough of a petty deal can be made of that minor aspect of his speech, then perhaps some will hear about the conference here.
