So tired.
Wednesday is suppose to be a day off… technically. I’ve been going up and down the stairs and elevators in school just to make two doorknobs and we had to walk under the bright hot sun to buy wood because what the school supplies just won’t do.
Why did I have to go and buy such a heavy laptop? Here’s a piece of advice if you’re in the market for one. For a laptop, the importance of weight outweights performance. Leave performance for your desktop computer. That’s a big consideration if you move a lot. If you buy a laptop just to move from one room to another in your house… I’m laughing at you.

You are totally correct. Most of today’s huge “desktop replacement” laptops are better thought of as “portable” in that you can, relatively easily, move it from one room to another. But unlike what we think of as “laptop,” they’re too heavy to lug around on a regular basis.
A lot of laptops are between six and eight pounds. That’s way too much. A 12-inch iBook is 5 pounds and even that is a bit much for carrying every day.
I have a Compaq M300 that weighs barely three pounds, and that’s the shizzle. Unfortunately it’s circa 1999, so the screen is only 600×800 and it won’t function unless it’s plugged in (the connection to the battery is broken). Otherwise, it’s a real gem!
