Where should Karla stay?

The father of the country’s most famous blonde bimbo / sexual predator has recently revealed that Karla Homolka hopes to move to Notre-Dame-de-Grace upon her release from prison. Perhaps not surprisingly, local residents and politicians are not rushing out to welcome her with tuna casseroles.

One of the funny assumption used to justify this decision is the fact that Quebec residents, being French and inbred, have not been paying as much attention to this sordid story and are thus more likely to just let her live in peace. The rest of Canada just wants her to live in pieces. Unfortunately for Karla, it also means that Quebecers would not have heard about all of those numerous extenuating circumstances that were used to justify her shortened sentence…right? Anyway, it might be difficult to achieve anonymity once your face is plastered on the front page of the Journal de Moureal.

What is needed is for residents to rise over their inherent NIMBY instincts and to propose valid alternatives. If you don’t want Karla to move to NDG, then where should she go? Back to prison is not an option, after all she has paid her debt to society with a 12-year sentence which was obtained by ratting out her disturbed husband. I hear Ellesmere Island is quite pleasant this time of year. I’ll even throw in a pop-tent and a case of mosquito repellant.

I need to dispose of a beautiful 6 1/2 large victorian apartment in NDG. You might ask me why. I guess, the truth is that I did not read the fine print on a lease I signed a year ago. As I am from another province, the idea that the landlord can automatically renew your lease for an additional 12 months, if you do not give a full 90 day notice would never have occurred to me. The sad part, is the landlord received my notice 78 days prior to the end of the lease. I thought I was the good guy, and gave almost 3 months notice. Wrong!!! I would therefore welcome the opportunity to offer my apartment to Karla Homolka. This is what my landlord deserves.

If she doesn’t want it, I’m interested. There’s another little known process in our rental laws in Quebec. You can assign someone the lease, with them becoming the lessee and taking over the lease completely. This can be done without the landlord’s consent, unless there is a very good reason why the tenant should not move in (like being a sick &%^%&*). If you are still looking to get rid of the lease, email me at mrdax@sympatico.ca

Guy kills 60 women in BC and after a few weeks nothing again on this case, this bimbo is on all the news all the time. Oh yeah, the ones killed in BC where a)junkies, b) hookers c)indian which is like a trifecta of ‘i dont care’ for the media.
In edmonton a serial killer has stuck again after a lull of a decade but nooooo, what is Karla wearing this week is of utmost importance.

This is right up there with steroid use as far as non stories go.

Uh Brian please take into consideration he had the book thrown at him and will never see the light of day. Karla on the otherhand is out there in the general public. Serving drinks to people in a bar potentially. There is no limit to what she could be doing. No restrictions. The fact you think shes a nonstory is because you havent read the stories- Go into the casefile. The details of the crimes and her involvment puts her up there with manson, and bundy. I wouldnt want those people wandering around my streets at 4AM either..
