It's not possible anymore to have one car for everybody. Communauto is a very interesting solution (in addition of STM, bikes, etc.), but it's obvious it requires a change in our habits, it can't be at last time whenever you want. I've been a Communauto user for 3 years now, I never had a problem, good service, good cars, no problem to find a place for your car, don't have to bring it for repairs, no pain in the *** due to insurance premiums, etc. In fact they constantly add cars and new places where car are available.
