Remember the days when we didn't have Banana Republic, H&M...when we didn't have buggles (cone-shaped chips) nor President's choice chocolat chip cookies?! And apparently, these environmental cars being produced north of Laval are not sold here and only in the States! We still have a lot going here....

I've yet to find any fresh curry leaves anywhere in Montreal. Drives me crazy. Anyone have any luck with this?

About a year ago I too had trouble finding a neti pot around town. But I broke down and bought one off the internet. That thing is a premium magic fantasy. Don't know what I did without it.

I've yet to find any good beer sold anywhere in this city. I hate to break the news, but US microbrews blow those of Quebec out of the water, and they're a hell of a lot cheaper. I've taken to brewing my own.

Tell me about it! I can fill a book with a list of products I can't find in this city and end each day with more items to add to that list. I have trouble finding several low calorie foods that I had no trouble finding in Plattsburgh. Our Loblaws stores are known to discontinue a lot of products like a variety of hot air popped President's Choice popcorn and several President's choice diet soda flavors. My father picks them up for me in Toronto when he goes there to visit my sister.

I am also suffering from sinus problems and have been searching for a nebulizer, which I read can be found in natural foods and "new age" type stores. None of those stores here sell them.

I also notice that stores advertise products in flyers but don't always get them in until the sale is over. Many of these stores refuse to give me rain checks.

People think that it's easier to find a variety of products in big cities than it is in small ones, but Montreal is a pitiful exception to that rule. It's sad that I have to cross the border to the US or go to Ontario to get food products I can't get here.
