One time I decided that eating a spoon-full of baking soda for lunch was an excellent source of sugar, but I decided that It was only a good source of lamb fur

Go to Burritoville in NDG and your stomach will be very happy with you.

5893 Sherbrooke West
514-484-2777
Metro Vendôme then bus 105
Mexican-style veggie food at a very reasonable price.

This is another thorough, well maintained veggie restaurant website: http://www.montreal.com/tourism/veggie.html

Hi Sean,

Welcome to Montreal!
You can try this place Yuan that I posted about.
Not sure if it's strictly vegan, but it is definitely vegetarian and pretty tasty IMHO.

All the vegans I know adore Aux Vivres (they got the name wrong on that site). Also, Blue Monday - the first place on their list - is now closed, I am sad to report.

Spirite Lounge is definitely recommended for the overall, wacky and whimsical dining experience. Very unique ambience, wait staff, and ingredients! I go fairly often to Yuan for some inventive Chinese vegetarian food, and it's cheap. Their lunchtime buffet is an especially good deal. Not a big fan of Commensal. Chu Chai is pretty good but expensive for what you get, in my opinion.
