Sky show
Did you catch the sky’s performance yesterday evening? A thunderstorm developed over the city and just sat there for a couple of hours as the sun set. It was wild to see the pink hued rain pouring down.
Toward the end of the light, some amazing mammatus clouds developed. These clouds indicate the presence of violent up and down drafts and are more typical of the tornado plagued regions of the US. It’s pretty rare to see such good ones up here.
Once it got dark, we sat out on the patio watching the lightning show as it grew more and more distant. Today, we can FEEL the result - cooler, drier and crystal clear. It’s going to be an idyllic weekend out there, so get out and enjoy!

Yeah it was so weird and cool and awesome…and…and…just so amazing to see the clouds and the sky like that! Wow! I was caught in the downpour and by the time I made it almost home, the rain had tapered and there were people out on the street, all pointing to the clouds and taking photos. I wish I’d taken a shot at least with my cell phone but I was soaking wet and wanted to head home and dry off!
Yup, saw them from a rooftop last night, what a great show…glad I wasn’t the only one to appreciate it.
I didn’t really get out yesterday so I didn’t see the clouds but I did notice that the light coming in the windows was a weird green colour all day. It also hailed here.
