Then they asked to see your cell phone and asked you to turn it off in front of them. That was my first experience with tight security at the movies. Today, there was an item in the paper that a woman is suing cinema Guzzo for searching her and her daughter's bags before a movie. This is nuts. Going to the movies these days is not what it used to be. There are already many pirated versions (shot in cinemas like the bank mentioned above) available. But it is standard practise on weekends now, just to show our US overlords that we are complying to their demands to change our society until we live in a constant state of fear as well.
