]]> By: Marla Comm http://montreal.metblogs.com/2007/07/22/did-the-gazette-get-montreals-a-to-z-right/comment-page-1/#comment-2527 Marla Comm Wed, 25 Jul 2007 23:42:56 +0000 http://montreal.metblogs.com/2007/07/22/did-the-gazette-get-montreals-a-to-z-right/#comment-2527 I would like to suggest a list of my own that more accurately describes this city: "A" is for architecture fiascos "B" is for broken glass all over the road "C" is for clouds which stay stuck over the city for weeks "D" is Dunkin' Donuts shops where blue collars hide out when they should be on the job "E" is for elevators that are either broken or take forever to come "F" is for the filthy place this city became "G" is for garbage lying all over the place "H" is for holes in the roads "I" is for icy sidewalks left unsalted in winter "J" is for junk food, which is only food that's still affordable here "K" is for kids who act like wild animals "L" is for lazy workforce "M" is for mobs 24/7 "N" is for new taxes we have to pay "O" is for overpasses on the verge of collapse "P" is for pigeon droppings "Q" is for Q92 making this city sound like one big funeral parlor "R" is for rain falling almost every day "S" is for stench assaulting our noses "T" is for traffic jams 24/7 "U" is for "Until further notice" which is how long we'll be without power or water come a main burst or Hydro outage "V" is for vermin we unwillingly share the city with "W" is for winters lasting longer than ever "X" is for the xenophobic province this city has the misfortune to be part of "Y" is for yelling, which people here have a bad habit of doing instead of talking "Z" is for the zoo that this city became I would like to suggest a list of my own that more accurately describes this city:
