This week, we’ve had some amazing sunsets. Lots of pinks and purples and a couple days ago, we had a “sun pillar”! This is a rather rare phenomenon (if you google it, you can see some wild pictures) that occurs when the light passes through flat octagonally shaped ice crystals all tilted in the same direction. In the photo, the sun has already set and is below the horizon. If you don’t like the scientific explanation, then maybe that was a sign from the Gods that they’ve finally turned on the heat around here, lol.
