Is one of your resolutions to become more “Green” in 2007?

R4 Concordia (Rethink, Reduce, Reuse, Recycle) is a group at Concordia University which concerns itself with “environmental initiatives while integrating social and economic components in its decision making process.”

They have an ingenious services known as a Worm Swap which allows people to buy half a pound of worms (”red wigglers”) for $15 or a full pound of worms for $25. Vermi-compost kits are available for sale by R4 at $15 or $20, and include all materials necessary, except worms. What’s the “swap” aspect? Well, those who return half a lb. of worms will receive $10 and those who return a full lb. of worms will receive $20.

The very first Worm Swap will be held on January 12th, 12pm, Hall building greenhouse (13th floor)
