Free Movie Screening: Notes on a Scandal
Hey fellow Montreal bloggers/readers (and some lucky folk from some other cities as well). Feel like seeing a free movie on January 4th?
Fox Searchlight Pictures is having a free screening of Notes on a Scandal starring Judy Dench (she scares me) and Cate Blanchette at the AMC Forum at 7pm on the 4th of January. You can reserve up to 2 tickets here for the preview. Fox has done this for past movies as well, such as Little Miss Sunshine and a few others. Get ‘em while they last, which I don’t imagine will be very long.
I reserved my tickets, I just hope I can make it, it looks pretty decent, but it’s a little too far away to fully commit an evening to a movie. Let me know in the comments if you plan on attending and perhaps a meetup can be arranged.

Thanks for the info, I just reserved tickets. Do you have an idea how much in advance we have to be there to be sure to get in? Maybe you have experience with this type of screening? They say they overbook “to ensure a full house” and I don’t want to get there for nothing…
It often depends on the movie itself, but with it being the first week of January, I figure that a lot of people might still be on vacation (I am). So upwards of an hour or so might be a good idea.
You can always get your tickets (usually at the customer service counter) and then go waste time in Alexis-Nihon across the street and check out the Boxing-Week sales for a while.
Thanks! I will try to make it.
