Shopping mall Christmas decorations!
Inspired by blork’s Scary Christmas post, today I went downtown to have a look at the shopping mall Christmas decorations!
I got there at around 13h. It wasn’t as busy as I expected it to be… Just like a normal Saturday. I couldn’t really feel the hectic Christmas shopping yet. I guess that comes a bit later in the month…
And then it was time to compare the decorations! The underground city is quite handy when you’re shopping downtown, going from one mall to the other without ever stepping outside! So, which mall has the nicest decorations? Here are a few photographs…
So I started at Place de la Cathédrale. Their decorations are mostly hanging from the ceiling, quite traditional looking. They also had white angel girls handing out publicity folders.

The next mall is Complexe Les Ailes. They are not very Christmassy… I had trouble identifying what the decorations were! I think they put lights in the red pieces…

Then on to Centre Eaton! There it was cute, huge, colourful ornaments hanging from the ceiling! It looks pretty neat.

Place Montreal Trust has the hugeeee tree in their atrium, it looks very whimsical. There were a few parents there with the kids, looking at all the cute details in the tree! The kids looked amazed.

Finally the Cours Mont-Royal have a few lit/decorated trees around the mall, very smart looking, to go with the shops they have in their mall I guess!

So, that’s it! My favourite is the Eaton Centre… I like the big decorations!

Looks like the crowds were in Laval, it was nuts out there.
Good review of Montreal’s shopping mall Christmas decorations !!!
I like the huge tree !!
Maybe nobody travels around there, but Rockland Center has really nice Christmas decorations and lots of white light making those trees and silver ornaments look damn good.
