Candyland
If you’re wondering where to take the kiddies trick-or-treating, and you have access to a car, try Hampstead. The neighborhood goes nuts with competing Halloween decorations. Last time we went there, there was a fully decked out haunted house, another that had mounted a movie screen and was showing Michael Jackson’s Thriller video 20 feet high… you get the idea.
I’m told that folks in Hampstead spend as much as $1,000 on candy for the night, because it’s such a popular venue. On y va!

I thought kids went in their own neighbourhood…
It’s my first time doing the HAlloween thing here in Montreal. I’ve decorated a pumpkin and put it out on my balcony. There are stairs coming up to my patio door, though a bit hidden. Hopefully kids will venture up! I’ve got 25 bags of candies to give out.
I wonder at what time they start touring… On the net I read end of afternoon, which is 15h-17h but I haven’t had one kid come yet! :(
Howdy!
I’ve heard good things about Westmount, and Montreal West as well, and would imagine any afluent residential neighborhood would do in a pinch (Outremont anyone?) although on a night like tonight, I would think that you really want to find a nice 30 story apartment building…
I gave out all of my candies! Yay!! :) It was a lot of fun… To my house came: elephant, ghost, witch, fireman, policeman, tiger, princess, monkey, pumpkin, cowboy, etc. Lots of cute kids!
