Happy Birthday Montreal’s metro system
40 years old but has it reached it’s mid-life crisis? The City of Montreal plans to fete the metro system with several activities for the public such as concerts, contests and artwork displays.
FREE metro rides will be available on October 14th from 5am to 1:30am on October 15th.
Further details are set to be announced as to the nature of the contests, concerts and featured artwork. I saw an advertisement on the floor of one of the stations today which read ‘Bravo’ - the ‘o’ being replaced by the familiar metro symbol. Would have been only fitting for this to have been printed on the metro passes as well perhaps?
Funny enough - the Montreal Metro is a Libra with personality traits such as:
