On the psychology of crumbling infrastructures

One of my colleague, who had to drive through Laval this morning, noticed that in the stop-and-go traffic of the early rush hour, almost nobody wanted to stop under an overpass. On the other hand, those driving on the overpass were doing so at a much greater speed than usual.

As for me, I had a very easy time coming over from the West Island. Every year, it never ceases to amaze me that the best solution to our traffic congestion problems lies in a Jewish holiday.

I should also note that traffic is also pretty light on Christmas morning.

Hehe, I find that interesting. We should lobby to have some sort of holiday everyday.
