Everything is Illuminated…

From September 8th to October 31st, the Montreal Botanical Gardens will be featuring “The Magic of Lanterns” daily from 9am-9pm.

I LOVE the Lantern Festival and look forward to both taking and viewing all of the magnificent photos available during this event.

While my mum was visiting in August, we spent a day at the Botanical Gardens and it re-envigoriated my adoration for this magical space. Perhaps it’s all of the pure oxygen that’s circulating around but a day at the Gardens beats a day at the spa anyday (and it’s much cheaper too!)

Oooooh yeah, I love it too and thanks for reminding me it’s happening right now. Sadly, it’s my annual reminder than I really should hang out there more often than once a year, the BGs are such a great and totally underrated spot in Montreal, it’s also one of those great safe havens when it gets terribly hot and humid in July.

If anyone would like to see it, I have photos from the 2005 & 2006 opening nights of each Chinese lantern show [here]. Enjoy.
