The Buffalo girls

Anyone who has lived in NDG knows the Buffalo Jeans ad on the corner of Decarie and Sherbrooke. It’s been over seven years since I moved from NDG but I still remember that every few months or so they would change the gigantic ad and it was almost a game to see how long it would stay up before someone came along and defaced it with graffiti or silly faces.

I have no idea why, but eveone in our apartment complexes down Decarie Blvd would get really excited about waking up to discover a new ad. I don’t know what the appeal was, maybe it was a sign that we didn’t have enough going on in our lives.

Good to see, after coming home from an appointment downtown, that NDG still has a larger than life Buffalo girl on the corner. (Photo taken from the car via my nifty Nokia 6682)

HA! I haven’t heard that expression in quite awhile. I nearly choked on my coffee.
