McGill in ruins??

I was walking around downtown today and was astonished when I stolled onto McGill (near the old location of Soto Sushi resto) and it was as if the whole street was torn asunder.

Businesses were shut down for the entire stretch of the street from St Jacques to St Paul and I can only wonder what the impact has been for many of my old favorite haunts like Le Cartet….

Our best friends live there, that street has been a mess for almost two years.

They are rebuilding the street and sidewalks and are TAKING FOREVER to finish what could have been done inside a very few months. You gotta love unions, so slow you think you are suffering a time dilation. At least McGill Hot Dog is still up and running =)

    Howdy!

But those are some pretty gosh darn impressive sidewalks that they are installing…
