Should Pluto Still Be A Planet? If you have a view on this, you’ve missed an opportunity to comment. I can hardly believe it but it was the subject of the phone-in show on CBC Radio Montreal this lunch-time. Who would have thought there were enough people with a view on this to be worth having a phone-in show on it. Apparently it’s a hot issue in astronomical circles and the powers that be may decide the question in a few days in Prague. The smart money says it may be demoted to the status of a dwarf planet since there are other objects that are bigger than Pluto circling the Sun. Zena is the name of one of them.

I can’t wait to see what will be the next burning question that the CBC will put up for a phone-in show. Perhaps I’m just out of touch with what the smart people are talking about now-a-days.
