An Advertising Last (or Croquet anyone?)

Howdy!

I saw this press release and obviously someone, actually Johanne Denneny, Senior Manager of Marketing at National Bank doesn’t quite understand what flash mobs are. Flash Mobs are not paid. Flash Mobs are not announced by a press release. Flash Mobs are not postponed until the following day in case of rain.

Could I respectfully suggest that if you are free and available tomorrow (Wednesday) at 11:30 am. You dress up in your finest croquet clothes, show up at Square Victoria, on Viger St., corner McGill St. and shoo the tennis players away when they show up at noon.

Someone, heck everyone should let the National Bank of Canada know that it ain’t such a hot idea to manipulate people.

If anyone would like previous examples of successful flash mobery here in Montreal, you might want to check out the following links. The Legendary Zombies vs Duct Tape Fighters from last summer, A second set of photos from the same fight. and the pillow fight that happened back in the spring.

If you’re only in it for yourself, the National Bank is giving away tickets to the tennis tournament, I’m fairly certain you’ll be able to score at least a pair.

Don’t forget to bring your mallet!

How about if everyone shows up in only an overcoat and a hat? Give new meaning to flash mobs.

Ahem… I meant to say “bad boy” to Zeke, not Frank. (We posted comments at the same time) But Frank seems to be a bad boy too so I guess it’s okay.

Am I the only one who’s worried about fact that Zeke has been reading Bank press releases?

And there is no need to be worried Andre, I read ALL press releases, not only the ones sent out by banks.
