In A While Crocodile…
One of the big shoe fads this summer has been Crocs. Like the ubiquitous Uggs of last season, Crocs are apparently THE must have shoe of the moment. Unlike Uggs worn mainly by teenage girls, Crocs are worn by men and women alike and come in a multitude of colors. I myself am not a fan of Crocs. They’re ugly as sin and I can’t quite imagine how rubber shoes could possibly be comfortable in sweltering heat like the conditions we’ve had lately but those who own a pair love them and claim that they’re the most comfortable shoes ever. In fact, my coworker just ran out today and bought himself a pair. As proud owner of his very first pair of Crocs, he so graciously agreed to model them for me and here they are pictured in understated black (sorry for the orientation, the photo was supposed to be rotated…. - i’m a newbie!). I do agree that they would be practical in a rain storm but I’ll be glad to see them go when summer comes to an end.

Every time I see them I think, Baaaaa, Baaaaaa.
it’s for stuff like this that the expression fashion victim was invented. Comfort or not, they are ugly as hell.
I have mine (yellow and orange, yes I have two pairs) already two years (early adoptor) and I love them. I think they’re not ugly, and with my wide feet they actually fit me. But then again, I’m crazy. And Dutch, so start your wooden shoe jokes.
