The Outgames

To date, a lot of the media coverage of the Outgames has centered on the opening ceremony and their attempts to fill the Olympic Stadium. There is now a 2 for 1 deal on the purchase of opening ceremony tickets. In the meantime, a lot of useful information isn’t getting through. This morning, I finally decided to check out their excellent web page where I learned that the party has already started on Viger Square and that a single $20 bracelet is all that you need to attend most of the athletic (and not so athletic) competitions.

To bad I’m working on Wednesday because the Team Relay Roller Racing competition through Little Italy sounds really cool. If you’re looking for something more sedate, there is always Bridge. At least I am reassured to learn that anti-doping rules will be in effect. Shuffling cards with a testosterone/epitestosterone ratio of 11 to 1 must be really dangerous.
