Madonna in Montreal

ct_poster2news.jpgShe’s been around for so long that we may think that we know everything that there is to know about Madonna. One little tidbit of information that might be relevant today is the fact that her mother, Madona Fortin, was a French Canadian from Rimouski. This return to her roots might be one of the reason why the only Canadian city on her 14 cities North American tour is our very own Montreal.

Madonna will be at the Bell Centre on 21 June and tickets will go on sale on Saturday 8 April. I’m sure that people are already lining up, if you have pictures please leave a comment and I’ll get back to you. If any of them are members of her fan club, now would be a good time to tell them that they can get their tickets 4 days early by going to this website (assuming that they get their hands on a better server).

Released last November, her album “Confessions on a Dance Floor” (which I found to be extremely enjoyable) has sold more than 1.3 million copies in the US to date.

Maybe I should try to milk this metroblogging/photoblogging gig into some kind of press pass.
