Cool new toys!
Howdy!
Back in December, over the holidays, I was reading Martine’s blog, and noticed a funky new badge.
for Top Blogues, some sort of competition for Quebecois Blogs. I think I am the only bloke out of the 217 who have signed on, I don’t know if this is a good thing or a bad thing, but I find it a fun thing.
Is there anyone out there who can explain the significance of the number on the right-hand side of the badge?
Then, today I came across egoSurf , you don’t even need to copy any code to get this kick ass set of images!

I also particularly like the size of their numbers.

We’ve got three in the current top ten. Digital Apoptosis is #8, Zeke at #9, and myself at #10. I’m sure there are other Montreal blogs out there that could bump us off. ;) Let see where the Metroblog falls.
Badda-bing. Metroblogging Montreal moved into 5th place knocking me out of the top ten.
The number on the right of the Top Blogue logo is your ranking. I think the first 10 blogues are in the number 1 group, then the next 10 in the number two, etc.
Strangely, the traffic numbers shown on the Top Blogue page are always lower than what I see in my own stats. Also, it doesn’t take into account the readers you get through RSS feed. In fact, I don’t know any counter that does. If anybody knows how to track RSS feeds, let me know!
Well I’m not a bloke, but I play one on TV and I added my blogs to the list also.
Thanks for the heads up :D
Hello Zeke.
The number significance in the TB button is the blog“s rank in its category.
I think this will be a FAQ soon.
