Mailman

Does your mail get lost sometimes? Perhaps never receive a letter or a parcel that was sent to you? Well… Maybe you could blame it on your mailman! I know most mailmen and mailwomen are professionnals and would never do anything like this… But it seems a Montreal mailman has been piling up letters and parcels put in his care instead of delivering them! There would be about 75 000 undelivered items. The police have found 10 000 already in his appartment. And there would also be some piled up at his country cabin, according to his ex-wife. People on the mailman’s delivery route/run have been complaining about not receiving their mail for years. He has been suspended by Canada Post. The man could face emprisonment for life if convicted! This is based on a Radio-Canada news article.

This doesn’t surprise me… our mailman here in Montreal does not even bother to ring the bell if he has a package…. or, if the address is missing an “A” or “B”, sends it back to the originating province… even though we only have one, shared entrance and mailbox, and only three apts!!!!
