Cursed numbers

Since the jackpot for tonight’s Lotto 6/49 is a cool $40 mil, we decided to buy a few. My wife, who is also a Lost fanatic, coudn’t resist putting in the 6 cursed numbers. Nothing good can come out of this, either we lose and we’re out two bucks, or the numbers are really cursed and we win. In that case not only are we fucked but we’ll have to share with 400 other Lost fans.

I can only imagine how many people decided to use those numbers. But the probabilities that these 6 numbers come out combined with the already astronomical probabilities of winning… OUCH!

Then divide amongst all the fans who used them ;)

    Evil numbers indeed :D

Indeed I think the trick is to try to figure out which numbers are chosen less and use those. For example, you might choose 1,2,3,4,5 and 6. Who would believe that such a crazy set of numbers would come up. But wait a moment, perhaps there are a few other folk out there who have had the same idea. So you can’t choose an obvious pattern. Oh this thinking is too hard. I’ll go with the family birthdays instead. After all, they’re just as likely to come up as 1,2,3,4,5 and 6. :)
