Rush hour for many hours.

Last Friday, I had to leave home early (or earlier than usual) at 6:30 AM. It’s not unlike me to wake up between 4 and 8 AM and I am never sleepy afterwards, but on that day, I was unhappy with the idea of standing. It must be because I’m not accustomed to having to do something immediately after waking up. Usually I can take my time to be fully awake, eat breakfast, watch the news and perhaps write a post like now.

Anyways, like I was saying, I left at 6:30 AM which, I learnt, is very usual for many people. The Saint-Michel subway station and bus stop were so crowded and so were every other station I went by. I really didn’t expect that.

Of course, it’s not the same crowd as at 7-9 AM when there’s a bunch of loud students going to high school and university. Let’s not forget to mention their backpacks that many still refuse to remove from their back to make more room for more people. And then they move around and become hitting machines.

That is great thing about 6:30 AM. People don’t have backpacks.

There are so many stories about Montreal’s metro, we might as well open up a section for that :P
