Gimme back my week off!

When I planned my summer vacations, I added an extra week at the end of our trip because I assumed that I would need some time to recuperate from 16 days on the road and because the city offers so much this week: The FINA championships, Just for Laugh, the fireworks, finally visiting the Grande Bibliotheque, etc… Perfect subjects for Metroblog entries.

So what happened? A two-day renovation job in my basement ballooned into six days. At least it was relatively cool down there, and the final result will be gorgeous, but the week is almost over and I only got out of the house to buy groceries and construction supplies.

I can’t wait to be back at work so that I can recuperate from my “vacation”.

Nice little orange moon just like the street lights.

It’s pretty funny to consider that I had to move to a few degrees of the equator in order to enjoy cool and pleasant nights. We have just returned from 16 days in Costa Rica. It’s the “Green Season” down there but don’t let that fool you, most of the rain fell during the evenings and nights.

I am finally done organizing my photographs into a gallery and will now begin to pay attention to the city around me.

Did I miss the Jazz fest?

Rainy Sunday Morning.

I don’t know what it is about rain in the morning. It doesn’t make me want to walk out of bed at all. I was up at 5 this morning just because I left the window open during the night and the heavy rain was disturbing. I went back to sleep and an hour later, I got hot because closing the window just turned the heat up.

Things are better now that it’s not raining anymore. A little wind would be nice though.

Show me your civic pride and I’ll show you mine

It has come to my attention that Montreal is a finalist in the

wow. 4 days straight.

Wow. No posts here for 4 days straight. That has to be the latest news in Montreal. I guess I could have written a few lines. I don’t know why I didn’t.
