How do I get a book?
Well, I don’t get any books really. The size of the new library is just an illusion. It’s not big, it’s open, it’s “wall-less”.
This photos shows the ground floor of the library. It’s like people cheking in at the airport. I’m really not a line up person. There are books I’d like to take, but there is just so many people. There has never been so many Montrealers in a library.
The last floor is where the DVDs are or were, because there aren’t any left. People are better off at the blockbuster or with online DVD rental.
Internet connection is wonderful. It’s as fast as my ADSL at home. Of course, I tried a few downloads. You’d think that so many laptops connected to the network would slow things down, but apparently it’s all covered. I wouldn’t be surprised to learn that some people no longer have internet at home and go to the library to connect instead.
This place is an airport full of books.
