Let me say, as someone living one block from Papineau, and moving, in July, to the other side of Papineau from the metro, that Papineau sucks. Speaking as a pedestrian, I don’t understand why the City of Montreal does not have dollar signs in its eyes, and rake in the cash for all the traffic infractions, many of them far more life-threatening than West Nile, SARS, or terrorism to decent walkers(!), that I see everyday: not acceptable! Secondhand smoke in restaurants? How about the right to walk more than a block from my apt without the risk of being maimed? So, a hearty congratulations to you for finding something photogenic about one of the monstrosites that cut through our beautiful city..
