The PM and the opposition leaders had their five minutes on teevee and it looks pretty certain that we will be having an election soon. What I found the most annoying about the PC and NDP responses was the constant back and forth between English and French. It’s not the English-accented French that irritated me rather than the fact that I detest simultaneous translation. I had to constantly zap between Radio Canada and the CBC just to be able to hear them in their own words.
A piece of advice in preparation for the next election, if you are going to switch languages during your speech, please don’t do it every other sentence.
And don’t expect me to make any kind of serious comment of the inevitable federal election. After all, whoever wins will end up being my boss and I really really like my job. Anyway, there are nine other bloggers to take care of that…right?
