I went to Orange County without wires.

I went to the OC and their article on WiFi made me remember how I just stepped into that realm.
Montreal is a very connected city with cables or otherwise. It’s filled with hotspots: 83 paid and 32 free ones. All those hotspots are scattered over the city, so you can always find one close to you. A light internet user could even consider not paying for having the internet at home and use one of those instead.
The free hotpots, although they are free, do their job. The paid ones are outrageously expensive because there many free ones.
On the evil side, you can always find people who don’t protect their wireless network to access their internet connection. I wonder if anyone is stealing my bandwidth…

In addition to the fact that your list of 83 “paid” hotspots included a number of free ones, you’ll find a number of others here.
